Bass Fishing Tip of the Week 06/24/2010: The Best Bass Fishing TV Shows

The world of bass fishing has expanded it's frontier to television over the years and even live coverage of fishing tournaments has been featured. Shows including well known fishermen such as Roland Martin, Kevin Van Dam, Hank Parker to shows with a few unknowns like Charlie Moore have given bass fishermen another level of education and know how. Watching these shows have helped many anglers in developing their toolset and has improved my catches on the water.

Currently ESPN and Versus are the two major channels carrying good fishing programming. Unfortunately according to several news sources ESPN will drop the majority of it's fishing programming in the near future and more news about this can be found here at http://troutunderground.com/2010/05/24/outdoor-media-world-rocked-on-its-heels-espn-drops-outdoor-shows/ .

So rather than including any programming from ESPN because of the future state of fishing programming I will focus on Versus. Here's a few of my favs:

Saturdays

FISHING WITH ROLAND MARTIN

BILL DANCE OUTDOORS

ANGLING EDGE

THE BASS PROS

HANK PARKER'S OUTDOOR MAG

ONE MORE CAST W/ SHAW GRIGSBY

CITY LIMITS FISH. W/ IACONELLI

FISHING UNIVERSITY

So if it's hot, rainy or just generally a bad day for fishing turn on your TV on Saturday mornings and learn a little more about your favorite pasttime.

Until next time Tight Lines!
