Senko style worms

These are fat slow sinking worms that have hundreds of thin ribs. As they settle in the water, they quiver. This is the action that entices the bass to strike. Beside the original Senko, which are quite expensive, there is a similar bait available at Walmart called the Wave Tiki Worm.

Wave Worm and Senko Side by Side

This worm is primarily a shallow water worm used in water 4 ft. or less. I usually use it weightless, but sometimes throw it on a light Carolina rig.

The worm can be cast to cover or even just worked in shallow open water. It's a great lure to use when the bass are spawning. Just cast it out, let it sink, and work it back very slow, occasionally pausing so the worm will sink. This is a must have lure for Florida bass fishing!

Need some Senkos, check my fishing gear store here:
