Texas RigThe Texas rig is my all time favorite way to fish a plastic worm for Florida bass. It can be fished a variety of ways, but it's main advantage is that it is weedless. The rig is shown above. I typically peg the worm weight to the line with a toothpick by sliding the tip of the toothpick into the hole from the backside and breaking it off. My experience is that the bait will go to the bottom by doing this while if you don't the bait often trails the sinker and may be a couple feet up off the bottom. Use this rig with casting, pitching or flippin. Work it slow and methodically. How to Texas Rig a Lure for Bass Fishing Video
