Techniques:

Bass fishing techniques are wide and varied but many are universal. As a bass fisherman you will probably find your favorite ones and use them over and over. However, to be truly successful in the art of bass fishing you should learn to use as many as you can.

Some of the basic techniques involve casting, pitching and flippin. When to use these methods of presenting lures is dependant upon structure, water depth, cover and time of year.

Rigging your baits also varies depending upon similar factors. Some rigging styles include the Texas rig and the Carolina rig and both offer benefits in different conditions.

Lure preferences are often determined by the angler themselves. Some fishermen prefer worms over crankbaits, while some prefer spinnerbaits. Learn to use a variety of lures and different presentations to be the most effective dependant on the lake conditions.

Techniques for bass fishing often change over time and new ones come out every year. Be on top of these new techniques and you will often be at the top of the weigh in circle.

So become a technique's expert and do more catching with less fishing!
