Blog Day 1
Hello everyone, just started using wordpress to create my new blog for Florida Bass Fishing. I haven’t fished in a couple of weeks and I’m getting bass fever.
I’ll probably post some tips from my website at Florida Bass Fishing on this blog, but also some new information.
If you need some maps, see my other website South Florida Bass Lakes. It’s got some nice maps of the lakes (free) that can be switched to satellite view. This site has my favorite hot spots which I have caught fish on over 20 years of bass fishing.
Need some fishing gear, visit http://floridabassfishing.us/fishinggear. Nice affiliate site with great and inexpensive selection.

I really enjoyed your info and pictures!
I plan to try fishing the Braden River and Manatee Lake, but need advice on where to put my boat in and where to fish in mid – late April.
Also, some lure tips would be great!
Thank you for such a fine place to stop by!
I live in Englewood,Fl

Thanks for stopping in Chuck. For the Braden River, put in at Jiggs Landing. You can get to Jiggs by taking I-75 to Hwy 70 exit taking the westbound exit toward Bradenton. Get into the left lane and about a mile down take a left on 63rd St E (there’s a Taco Bell/Long John Silvers on the corner). Go straight and just before the sharp bend to the left is the entrance to the park. The ramp is OK but the county is planning to upgrade it in the near future.
As for Lake Manatee the State Park is best. Take I-75 and take the eastbound exit onto Hwy 64. Head east for a few miles (I’d use a Google map to get exact distance) and the entrance to the park is on the left. It’ll cost about $4, but the nice ramp is well worth it.
Go to my website at http://www.floridabasslakes.com for fishing spots and how to fish each spot for each of these lakes. Hope this helps
